Ateliers - Construire le monde de demain - 2024
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry left a lasting mark on the history of aviation and literature, and his time in Switzerland (Fribourg, 1915-1917) is an integral part of his legacy. It therefore seemed natural to create a foundation in this country to promote his humanistic values.
The Little Prince Swiss Foundation was established in 2023 with the ambition of supporting initiatives in education, equality, the environment, and science, reflecting the ideals championed by the writer. Its launch was made possible thanks to the support of the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Youth Foundation, the Swiss Friends of Antoine de Saint Exupéry Association, and Swiss Who’s Who.
Switzerland, where Saint-Exupéry and The Little Prince have many admirers, provides an ideal setting to carry forward his message of solidarity, responsibility, and respect for humankind.
OUR PROJECTS
In collaboration with the Zero Emission Group at EPFL, these workshops raise students' awareness of environmental challenges and sustainable innovations. Young engineers engage with them to spark curiosity and inspire future vocations, demonstrating how everyone can contribute to a more responsible future.
Launched by Chloé Carrière, ambassador of the foundation, in partnership with Women in Tech Switzerland, this project encourages female scientists to make their voices heard on social media. It aims to promote high-quality educational content and inspire future generations.
Every year, the foundation supports this initiative led by Noam Yaron, ambassador of the foundation, which focuses on collecting cigarette butts to protect water resources. This action contributes to the preservation of lakes and saves more than 400,000 liters of drinking water.
On International Children's Rights Day, the foundation collaborates with Terre des Hommes to raise awareness about children's rights and support initiatives that protect their well-being.
